Project No. FELU.01.03-IP.01-0050/24 “Development and implementation of an innovative method for the synthesis of CAS xanthohumol.”

A-sense Ltd. is implementing project No. FELU.01.03-IP.01-0050/24 entitled. “Development and implementation of an innovative method for the synthesis of CAS xanthohumol” within the framework of funding from the European Funds for Lubelskie, Priority I: Scientific research and innovation, Measure 1.03: Scientific research and innovation. The project runs from December 1, 2024 to August 30, 2027.

The goal of the project is to develop an efficient method for the production of synthetic xanthohumol and to introduce a new product, XAntiAge synthetic xanthohumol, to A-SENSE’s portfolio. Xanthohumol is a prenylated flavonoid found naturally in hop cones, known for its health benefits such as anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.

The project includes industrial research and experimental development, which will allow the production of xanthohumol on a semi-technical and semi-operational scale. Under the project, product and process innovations will be created and the results of R&D work will be implemented. It is also planned to apply for industrial property protection and carry out the implementation work necessary to introduce synthetic xanthohumol on the market.

The production of synthetic XAntiAge will make it possible to obtain a product with better properties than its plant-based counterpart, which will expand the scope of its application, such as in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.
